Lower Makefield Update

Report on Lower Makefield Board of Supervisors Meeting October 4, 2023.

The Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to take a position of OPPOSE at the next Verizon Cell Tower Zoning Board meeting. There is not currently a date scheduled for that. Verizon has asked for a delay.

There will be two public meetings focused on the 2024 budget. The first is October 25th at 7:30pm and the second is November 8th at 6:30pm.

There was an extension of time for the Torbert Farm Subdivision plan until 12/31/23.

There is FEMA flood mitigation assistance grant available that provides for acquisition or elevation to above the flood plain for property owners affected by flooding. If a resident is interested they should contact Jim Majewski at jimm@lmt.org. There is a deadline for a letter of interest of October 18, 2023.

Lower Makefield also just announced the Township Zencity Engage Hub. This is a place where they can gather feedback and easily share information on current projects. Currently information on the Macclesfield Park and Patterson Farm are available there and you can give feedback on Patterson Farm.
